Every year at LaaxOpen the best snowboard professionals in the world compete in halfpipe and slopestyle. So that the spectators could follow the individual drivers live in close-up, we installed various LED walls. The altitude, cold, wind and snow were a big challenge. Our big screen at 3000 meters above sea level was exposed to wind speeds of up to 160 km/h and functioned smoothly even at minus 15°C. In cooperation with tpc, which operated different camera positions with three outside broadcast vans, the screens were played on.
Every year the best snowboarders from all over the world compete at the LaaxOpen in halfpipe and slopestyle. In 2017, more than 200 professionals from more than 20 countries competed on the world’s largest halfpipe for a prize money of over CHF 200,000.
